Movie World Brisbane Australia – Fright Night Review

September 25, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

Wednesday night we attended the VIP Launch of Movie Worlds Fright Nights. Let me just say Totally Freaking Awesome! The attention to detail in theming this event was amazing. DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN!

The Zombies: These zombies get a write-up all of their own. They were gross, the would twitch and scream and sneak up behind you. This my friends is where Nightmares are created!

The Food: We ate dessert from specimen bottles and spaghetti out of the inside of a man coated in blood and gore. I must admit I got a little squeamish eating salami meats off the skeleton as that somehow that just tipped me over.

Cocktails were served in blood bags from an authentic looking Paramedic van and the red blood fondue with a back drop of blood platter was great. The pus filled donuts were yummy too.

The Scary Stuff: Ok if you survive the Zombie smoke filled walkway, then try your hand at the Wolf Creek 2 Maze or the Evil Within Maze. Either one is sure to make you poop your pants. (Make sure you go toilet first).

The first maze we hid behind a chain of people as we were attacked and screamed at  by various spooky people. I can not put into words how S*** scary this was! If you love a good horror film then this is the event to come to.  By the time we lined up for the Wolf Creek 2 Maze (our 2nd maze for the night) my husband thought it would be best if I went on the end to protect his butt. He spent 90% of the maze with his head down chanting “This is just a game” ,  “This is just a game”.

I spent most of my time telling him to look up, which he did at the exact moment the Chainsaw wheeling John Jarrett look alike came at us. My husband didn’t trust me from that point on.

When Can You Go: Friday’s and Saturday Nights in October

What’s on:  Fright Nights 2014 will host four new mazes, the introduction of entertainment precincts and themed food and beverage options as well as the parks signature rides and attractions ARKHAM ASYLUM, GREEN LANTERN Coaster, SUPERMAN Escape, and BATWING Spaceshot open from 6pm-9pm and SCOOBY-DOO Spooky Coaster and all other Fright Nights attractions operating until 10:30pm.

What to wear: You can wear dress-up but you are not permitted to wear masks or heavy makeup. Make sure you don’t have all bits hanging either or you might not get on the rides.

How Much? Tickets are as low as $29.00 and free if you have the gold pass.
